Békeffy Football Consulting Ltd., founded by my father, Jenő Békeffy in 1968, is a company specializing in career planning, consulting, and management in the field of professional football.

Allow me to introduce myself a little bit. My name is Gábor Békeffy. I was born in Belgium in 1968 and have always been attached to football because of my father and his passionate involvement in the sport. To this day, I keep in touch with many of the famous football stars who my father managed. These magnificent players have become very successful in their manager carreers as well and I am proud to be taking on my fathers legacy. Some of these stars include:
Georges Leekens: managed the Belgian, Tunisian, Algerian and Hungarian National Teams and he is now the head coach of the Tractor Sazi based in Tabriz. Also coached Belgian first division teams like RSC Anderlecht, Club de Brugge, KV Mechelen, Charleroi SV….
Guus Hiddink: coached the Dutch national team and he is now managing the Russian team. Also managed numerous European clubs such as Real Madrid, Real Betis, Chelsea and PSV Eindhoven.
Frank Arnesen: was the sporting director at PSV Eindhoven from 1994-2004. He continued in this position at Chelsea FC from 2005-2010 and Hamburger SV between 2011-2013 after he managed PAOK Thessaloniki, RSC Anderlecht and the Feyenoord FC.
Morten Olsen: was the manager of the Danish national team from 2010-2015.
We were able to complete the transfer of Martin Jol from ADO Den Haag to Bayern Munich. He has coached many big clubs such as Hamburger SV, AFC Ajax, Fulham FC and is currently at Al Alhy.
Throughout 60 years of experience, we have completed over 300 notable transfers.
One of our first deals was the transfer of Gerald Bergholtz (Pummie) from Feyenoord to Anderlecht RSC. Other stars amongst our transfers included Rob Rensenbrink, Arie Haan, Attila Ladinszky, Erwin Vandenbergh, Peter Ressel, Frank Arnesen, Benny Nielsen, Ronny van Poucke, Johnny Dusbaba, Tony Rombouts, Andersen Enrik, Johan Devrindt, Juan Lozano, Nico de Bree, Jan Mulder, Frank Arnesen, Dirk Goosens, Tony Rombouts, Franky Vanhaecke, Kenneth Brylle, Jean Dockx to Anderlecht RSC.
For Ajax Amsterdam, we did more than 29 transfers: Johan Cruyff, Johnny Dusbaba, Gerald Vanenburg, Dick Helling, Karel Bonsink, Johnny Rep, Ruud Geels, Barry Hulshoff, Simon Tahamata, René Noten, Arie Haan, Walter Meeuws, Josko Gluic, Nico Jansen, Gerald Vanenburg, Theo van Duivenbode, Dick Helling, Jan Mulder, Wim Suurbier, Dick van Dijk, Gerrie Mühren, Nico Rijders, Piet Schrijvers, Ruud Krol….
In 1973, alongside Cor Coster, our agency played a key role in transferring Johan Cruyff from Ajax Amsterdam—after nine seasons in the Eredivisie—to FC Barcelona, where he spent five successful seasons before continuing his career in the United States.
For PSV Eindhoven, we transfered Guus Hiddink, Frank Arnesen, Jan Van Beveren, Peter Ressel, Harrie Vos, Wieste Veestra, Kenneth Brylle Larsen, René van de Kerkhofs, Kresten Bjerre, Jan van Deinsen, Munk Jensen and many more.
For Feyenoord Rotterdam, the transfers of Jan Boskamp, Gerald vander Lem, René Notten, Peter Ressel, Wim Van Hanegem, Harrie Vos, Jopp van Daele, Theo van Duivenbode, Theo de Jorgh, Jan van Deinsen, André Vanden Ley and Attila Ladinsky were concluded.
In 1975, we transferred Ernst Happel to Club Brugge. After retiring as a player, Happel went on to become one of the greatest coaches of all time. He won the league title in four different countries. During his career as coach, Happel worked for several clubs including Sevilla FC, Club Brugge (winning the Belgian Championship title several times) and Hamburg (1981–1987, German champions in 1982 and 1983, German Cup winner 1987).
In 2010, Mr. Endre Varga – ex managing director of Vasas FC – asked me to assist him in finding a club for a German investor for whom he previously worked. I was mainly responsible for the financial aspects of the transaction. After the 2011 acquisition of Vasas FC, I became Director of Marketing at the club. After a year in the management of the club, I decided to take over the directing of our football agency.
